Social media doesn't work like TV ads.
Or radio ads.
Or newspaper ads.
Or any other ad.
When people see what you post on social media, they don't want to buy from you.
And they usually won't buy from you.
Because they probably don't know you.
And don't trust you enough to put money in your pockets.
And of course, because there's just way too much noise out there.
While at the same time, pretty much everybody can now afford ads.
Whereas back in the days when TV ads were still a thing, only businesses with proven products or services were able to afford ads.
So people automatically trusted those ads and went out to buy their stuff.
But that stopped working a long time ago.
And what a lot of people still don't understand, is that social media is for building up trust.
So that maybe if you have something to sell in a year or two, people will trust you enough and end up buying your product or service.
Social media is for building up trust.
But not for selling...
