The best kind of marketing is to show your work.
Without having to hire you or buy from you.
And the worst kind of marketing is to wait for people to ask you to show them your work.
Because that barely ever happens.
Unfortunately, we've been trained to only show our work when we're asked for it.
Just like we've been trained to only work when we're getting paid for it.
So we send our resumes and portfolios around hoping that people will take a look at our work and give us a chance to show them how good we really are (in exchange for money, of course).
But what about giving people a chance to find out about you and your work for free?
Maybe on a website.
Maybe on a blog.
Maybe on a YouTube channel.
A place where you work for free.
A place where you publish something small every single day.
And over time all those small things will add up and they might turn into something bigger.
Something that helps you to stand out.
Something that might actually really get you noticed.
But first of all you've gotta show it.
And not hide it...
