The problem with change is that once you start that change, things will usually get a lot worse, instead of better.
And they will usually stay like that for quite some time.
That skill you want to learn?
That business you want to build?
That degree?
That career?
That breakup?
All of these things will eat up a lot of your time.
And energy.
Time and energy you probably don't really have anymore.
That's why you probably needed that change in the first place.
And that's why it's so hard.
Because it'll get worse instead of better.
So why should we put ourselves into a situation that's worse than the one we're in right now...?
Because it's likely the only way to get out of it.
But you can't expect a smooth ride.
Because jumping from one bus to another while both of them are driving in opposite directions is difficult.
It might be one of the hardest things out there.
But that's what's necessary.
And it's probably the only thing you can do.
Because the only alternative you'd have is to keep riding the wrong bus all the way to the end...
