You have a choice

You can either take your cut from something that would also have been created without you, or you can create something completely new that would never have been created without you.

Nothing wrong with both things...

But the good news for you (and me) is that most people are in the business of taking a cut from something that would also have been created without them.

And not a lot of people are in the business of creating something completely new that creates completely new value.

And it's always a good idea to belong to a group that's short in supply...
