Should always be about building a community of like minded people.
To better understand their wants, needs and problems.
Be it online or offline.
Build an email list.
Or a Facebook group.
Build a community in your neighborhood.
Your area.
Your city.
Or your country.
You love basketball?
Build a community of ballers.
You love writing?
Build a community of writers.
You love food?
Build a community of food lovers.
You love marketing?
Build a community of marketers.
And then figure out what they want.
Figure out what they're struggling with.
And because you're part of that community, because you're passionate about it (just like them), you'd have instant access to them, their brains, their wants, their needs and their problems.
If you have a big enough community of people you trust and who trust you, everything will be so much easier.
Because your community is ultimately your audience.
And your audience ultimately consists of potential customers, clients, partners and even friends.
So don't build a solution to a problem that only exists in your head.
And instead build a community first.
And then figure out what people in that community are struggling with.
And then you can try to solve those problems.
If they're big enough.
If they're worth solving.
I know it sounds like a lot of work.
But it's worth it.
Having a strong community will ALWAYS make you win in front of everybody.
In front of investors. Banks. Partners. Brands. Sponsors. You name it.
Not having a community, not having an audience is very likely to set you up for failure...
And that should be the first step in any project.
Build a community.
Even before you think about what problems to solve.
Build a community around something you love.
Something you enjoy doing.
Something you're passionate about.
And then try to figure out what problems are worth solving...
