I don't know why everybody is saying that it's so damn hard to get started.
Getting started is the easy part.
What's really hard is to keep showing up over and over again.
Finishing stuff is what's really hard.
Starting stuff is the easiest part.
Over the past couple of years I've started dozens of projects.
How many did I finish?
Well, to be honest, not so many...
It's hard to finish stuff.
It's hard to show up over and over again.
Especially when things are not going as well as expected...
Especially once you realized how easy it is to get started.
Then it'll get even harder to finish stuff.
To keep pushing.
Simply because there's that new new thing, that new new idea you could start.
So you never really finish anything.
You stop showing up.
Or you never really start anything in the first place.
What's really, really hard is to finish stuff...
Starting needs a single decision.
Showing up over and over again and finishing stuff needs hundreds if not thousands of small decisions...
And it's never the really big things in life that kill you.
It's almost always the hundreds of small things that add up that ultimately kill you...
