What’s more important? Your message or the medium you use to deliver that message?
That’s an important question to ask yourself. Rather sooner than later.
Because what’s going to happen, what always happens is that the channel or medium you use or want to use to spread the word won’t work.
As a matter of fact it’s almost guaranteed that the channel you’re thinking about using right now won’t work.
So why is this important?
Because too many people tend to focus way too much on that one single medium, instead of focusing on figuring out how to best spread the message. Instead of figuring out what really works and what doesn’t.
It’s very obvious.
Still most people seem to struggle with this. People tend to focus so much on that one channel on that one thing and when it doesn’t work out they get stuck. And stop trying other channels. And then they give up. But that’s just wrong.
What’s right is to test as many different ways as possible to see what works and what doesn’t. And once you found something that works, triple down on that. And forget the rest (for a while).
Look. It’s impossible to predict what’s going to work and what won’t. So instead of freaking out and giving up just because that one thing doesn’t work, go ahead and test the next thing.
Just because that one channel, that one medium doesn’t work, doesn’t mean that the entire thing doesn’t work…
