If you want to start your own blog, start your own blog.
If you want to start making YouTube videos, make YouTube videos.
If you want to write a book, write a book.
If you want to give Snapchat a try, give it a try.
It doesn’t matter what you do.
And it doesn’t matter how good you’re at it. Or what you’re currently doing.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a good writer or not. If you’re good in front of a camera.
And I don’t know what the best channel is to build your brand online. No one knows.
And anyone who’s telling you to do this or to do that has no clue.
What works for me, might not work for you. What works for you, might not work for me.
And the only way to figure out what’s working for you, the only way to build your brand online is by doing. By producing.
Because that’s the only way to figure it out. That’s the only way to figure out what works for you. And what doesn’t.
That’s the only way to figure out which platform works for you.
You won’t figure it out by reading blog posts about different platforms.
Or by listening to what social media experts say about different platforms.
The only way to figure out how to build your brand online is to take your phone, shoot a few clips, upload them to YouTube and see what happens.
Or write down those thoughts of yours and publish them on your Facebook wall, your blog or on Medium. And then you see what happens.
You can do whatever you want to. Whenever you want to.
As long as you’re willing to put in the work. Over and over again.
As long as you keep your eyes and ears open to see what works for you and what doesn’t..
