I get it.
You have to fail your way to success.
That's what everybody says.
But what they don't tell you is how it'll make you feel over time. When you try to fail your way to success.
No one tells you how to get back up again. How to keep going.
It's tough. Really tough.
And some times are tougher than other times. But it's still brutal most of the time.
I've written 6 books and none of it was a best seller.
I've published more than 300 blog posts and none of them went viral.
I've uploaded more than 100 videos to YouTube over the past few months and have a total of 5000 views.
I've started more than 10 websites over the past five years and none of them was a success.
I fail my way to success. That's at least what I tell myself. All the time.
But still, every time one of these things doesn't work out, it feels like a small piece inside of me is dying.
Waiting for that overnight success is tough. Failing your way to success is tough.
Sure, you might get used to failing your way to success over time. Still, it's mostly brutal. And you'll ask yourself many questions.
And a lot of people will tell you 10, 20, 30 or more techniques to get over it. They'll tell you how you can get back up again. How to keep on going. But let me tell you one thing.
Most of it is just crap.
Because there is no one size fits all recipe to get back up again when you've been knocked out.
Something that might work for me, might suck all the energy out of you. Or confuse you. And only make it worse.
You know, the truth is that there's just one thing that helps me to get back up again. Over and over again. There's just one thing that will help you to get back up again. Over and over again.
And it doesn't matter how rich, poor, educated, uneducated, smart, dumb, old or young are. It doesn't matter where you were born. What color your skin is. Or if you're male or female.
The one thing that will help you get back up again over and over again is this:
Curiosity..
Curiosity is the reason for everything. It's the reason why we keep exploring things. Why we try to find new things. Why we try to understand things. Why we try to solve problems. Why we keep looking for alternatives.
Curiosity has and always will bring humanity to the next level.
And the moment you lose your curiosity is the moment you've lost the battle. The moment you lose your curiosity is the moment you'll give up. And you won't get back up again.
You'll stop exploring. You'll stop trying to find new things. You'll stop trying to understand. You'll stop trying to find alternatives. You'll stop trying to solve problems. You'll accept everything as it is. And you'll stop believing in yourself.
And to me, that's the only way to get back up again. Over and over again. No matter what.
To me, curiosity is the key.
It's the answer.
To what?
To everything...
