A lot of people out there want to tell you what you should do to get more readers. To sell more books. Or to sell more of your products.
And you know what. Most of the stuff is just BS. Because most of the stuff doesn't address the root of the problem.
It doesn't address the root of why people don't buy your products, even though your products might solve their problems. Even though they might be really, really good.
The root of the problem is trust.
If someone doesn't trust you, your business and what you stand for, that someone will never end up reading your blog. Or your books. That someone might never end up buying your products.
And having a Twitter account and sending out a random tweet every once in a while that no one is interested in won't change a thing. Nor will posting a boring update on Facebook change a thing. Or will hiring an expensive consultant or agency solve that problem. Or using infographics in your blog posts.
None of this won't change a thing. The root of the problem is still the same. People just don't trust you. And someone who doesn't trust you won't put money in your pockets. EVER.
And the only way to increase your conversion rate, to get more readers or to sell more products is to solve the trust issue first. If no one trusts you, no one will end up buying your products. No matter how good they are.
And that's the real challenge. That's where you need to be creative. That's where you need to iterate. That's where you need to make your brain sweat.
And constantly focusing and trying to fine tune the numbers won't change a thing. There’s no one size fits all. That’s why it’s so hard. And why YOU have to get out there and figure out what works for YOU.
What works for me might not work for you. And the other way round. There’s no way around skipping that part. No hack. No secret sauce..
