Most people are happy with “this”.
We’re happy with a sign up rate of 2% on our blog.
We’re happy with a few people recommending our posts.
We’re happy with the way things are going at the job even though we don’t like it.
We’re happy with the way our relationship feels like after two years even though it bores the hell out of us.
We’re happy with this is what people say when they don’t want to put in any more effort.
When they don’t want to go the extra mile. When they don’t want to work harder.
Unless you’re REALLY happy with the way things are going. Then keep on doing what you were doing all along. Ok?
Pretending to be happy with this even though you’re not, is just plain stupid. Because you’ve already proven that it works. Somehow. Now it’s all about a little bit of fine tuning here and there.
Sure, the fine tuning usually takes a hell lot more time than proving that it actually works at all. Proving that something works isn’t the challenge. It’s the easy part.
If you do something long and/or often enough, you’ll make everything work. Be it in life, business, relationships or whatever.
At the end of the day it’s all just a numbers game.
And to make the numbers really work for you (instead of against you), you need to go the extra mile. You need to put in that extra piece of effort.
Most people try to skip that part. Because that’s the really hard part. The part that feels like wasting and losing a hell lot of time. Because the growth isn’t exponential anymore. It’s only incremental.
So most people are happy with this.
Most people are happy with the way things are going.
Most people are happy when the numbers work against them. Or when time works against them. Instead of for them.
So don’t be happy with this. Unless you REALLY are..
