Saying thank you to the clerk at that shop will change the world.
Taking your tray at that fast food restaurant and throwing away the trash will change the world.
Smiling at strangers on the streets will change the world.
Being friendly to that lady at the reception will change the world.
In itself none of these things will change the world. But the things that might happen afterwards will.
The things people might (or might not) do afterwards. The seeds you planted.
The seed you planted in someone’s head when they saw you throwing away that trash for example.
Or the receptionist you were friendly with who finally took the courage and applied for that vacant position as chief receptionist because you made her feel that what she did really mattered.
Or the stranger on the street whose bad day you turned into a rather pleasant day after she lost all confidence in herself and humanity.
You know, it’s never really the big things that will change the world. Because most of the big things never really work out.
The things that really matter are the small things. The things that add up. Those are the things that will change the world. The things you can do to change the world.
You know, all of these small things where you plant a tiny seed in someone’s head and over time that seed turns into a beautiful mind.
And when that seed turns into a beautiful mind it has the power to change the world.
Who knows, maybe this mind will plant even more seeds. Seeds that will then turn into even more beautiful minds.
And THIS will change the world..
