The only way to do more of the work you love doing is to do more of the work you don't enjoy doing.
And this is something that no one ever talks about.
Because that's something that most people don't want to hear.
It doesn't sell as well.
But it's the reality.
Because if you don't do the stuff well that you don't really enjoy that much, you'll never get a shot at doing the stuff you really enjoy doing.
And it doesn't matter whether it's a job you're working on or you're working on your own thing.
If you do a bad job at the things you don't really enjoy that much and are always hiding from the work you don't like, then all that's going to happen is that your boss will never give you that project you'd love to work on.
And the same holds true for working on your own stuff.
Working on your own stuff, on the things you love doing involves dozens of micro tasks and skills.
Tasks and skills that most people don't really enjoy that much.
But without them you'll probably never succeed at doing your own thing.
So at the end of the day the way you do the things you don't really want to do is the key to being able to do the things you really want to do...
