You probably need 10 mediocre relationships for one really good one.
Just like you probably need to work on at least 20 mediocre ideas to get to that one really good idea.
Just like you probably need 5 different careers to find that one really good career.
And that’s hard.
Really, really hard.
It’s hard to keep pushing.
So hard that most people give up before they reach that one really good relationship.
Or that one really good idea.
Or that one really good career.
And instead they settle for mediocre.
Nothing wrong about settling for something mediocre if that’s what makes you happy.
Not everybody has to change the world or leave a dent in the universe.
But saying that it was not your fault, that you never got a shot at it, that’s just an excuse.
An excuse for being afraid of getting your heart broken one more time.
An excuse for not working on that crazy idea that might not work out.
An excuse for settling for a job you don't really like.
An excuse for having wasted your potential.
Because we all have a shot at changing the world and leaving a dent in the universe.
No matter how big or small...
You just gotta keep taking those shots until maybe one day you’ll score...
