And instead it always starts like that...
It always starts small.
And not big.
A movement that can change the world starts with a small group of people.
A new YouTube channel starts with a few followers.
Just like your blog posts will only be seen by a very small group of people.
Or your website.
Or the art you put out there.
Everything starts small.
And not big.
No matter what.
And that's the trickiest part.
The trickiest part is to stay motivated, to keep doing your thing, to keep putting yourself out there when it seems like no one really cares.
When you're stuck at 100 followers when everybody else seems to have millions of followers.
When you're stuck getting a few likes every now and then when everybody else seems to be getting hundreds of likes.
When you're stuck putting your work out there and no one seems to care while everybody else seems to be living the life...
And that's the danger of the Internet.
It amplifies the successful people.
So we only see and hear from the few people who have millions of followers.
Who constantly get thousands of likes. And hundreds of retweets.
People who've built trillion dollar companies.
But we never see their climb to the top.
We usually only see and hear about them when the hard work was already done.
We don't see the years of work it took them to get to where they are right now.
On the other hand we never really hear from the people who are barely getting by.
The ones who are struggling to build an audience.
The ones who want to give up because it just doesn't seem to work out.
So it will always feel like we're the only ones not getting it right.
It will always seem like everybody else is getting it right.
Because we only see and hear from the few folks who are getting it right.
The folks who are now on top.
But we never really see or hear from the millions of other people who are far away from the top.
And do you know what's the biggest difference between the people who are now successful and the ones who will never be successful?
The people who are now successful never gave up.
And the people who will never be successful will give up...
