When your product, your service, your book or your blog post is just like everybody else's stuff then the only way to end up getting those people's attention is to hand out discounts.
But as soon as you stop handing out those discounts people will just disappear and switch to the competition that's offering the exact same thing you're offering but for a better price.
So why not begin with offering something that's totally different? Why not offer something unique?
Because it's hard.
It's hard to come up with something different. With something unique. And it's so much easier to do what everybody else is already doing.
And when you do what everybody else is already doing, it's so much easier to switch to everybody else instead of staying with you.
So don't be surprised when that happens and don't complain about people not being loyal. Because loyalty has to be earned. And the only way to earn it is by offering something unique.
So how do you create something unique?
By doing something 99.9% of the people would never do. By being different. And by doing something no one else is doing.
It's that simple. But boy, it ain't easy.
And that's why it works.
