We tend to make the pie smaller.
What pie? The pie called life.
We tend to wait for people to choose us.
We tend to wait for that promotion.
We tend to wait for that guy (or gal) at the bar to come over to talk to us.
We tend to wait for someone to hire us.
We tend to wait for him to make that proposal.
And this makes our pies smaller.
It leads to a scarcity mindset. And a somehow limited life.
It unconsciously triggers our brains to believe in a limited supply of pretty much everything.
Because we always have to wait. And having to wait is linked to scarcity. To a limited supply.
This is especially true when it comes to opportunities.
But opportunities are really endless these days.
Constantly having to wait for others to decide about our future, our brain starts to believe in a limited supply. A limited supply of opportunities. Of pretty much everything.
So the pie tends to be rather small.
With a limited amount of pieces for everyone.
Pieces we're competing for with everybody else out there.
And this holds true especially when it comes to work and jobs.
We can only start something new, once we quit our jobs.
Once we quit our jobs, we'll send out that CV.
And once we start sending out CVs, it's the same thing all over again.
Waiting for someone to choose us. Scarcity. A small pie.
But in reality, to get rid of that scarcity mindset, to make our pies bigger, we have to start creating opportunities while we still have a job.
It's all about creating opportunities on the side to make our brain used to abundance. Instead of scarcity.
And it doesn't really matter what you do on the side. As long as you do something and learn something new.
What really matters is to make the pie bigger. To get rid of that scarcity mindset. To start creating opportunities. To ultimately stop waiting for others.
And then you'll switch from a scarcity to an abundance mindset.
And that's how you'll ultimately make your pie bigger. Instead of making it smaller and smaller every time you want to change something in your life..
